Enhanced ESP Block Monitoring & Progressive Enforcement (AUP Update)

Modified on Mon, 16 Feb at 5:42 AM

To strengthen deliverability protection across the platform, we’ve introduced enhanced monitoring and progressive enforcement related to excessive ESP (Email Service Provider) blocks at the account level.
What’s New :
  • Accounts exceeding acceptable ESP block thresholds will receive a warning email notifying them that email sending may be temporarily suspended if issues persist.
  • If elevated block activity continues, email sending will be temporarily suspended for 12 hours (first occurrence).
  • Repeated violations will result in a 24-hour temporary suspension.
  • In a future phase, accounts with two suspension occurrences may face permanent email sending suspension.
Why This Matters
Excessive ESP blocks can:
  • Permanently damage sender reputation
  • Increase spam placement rates
  • Trigger mailbox provider throttling
  • Lead to domain or IP blacklisting
  • Impact deliverability across shared infrastructure
This update helps protect inbox placement, maintain compliance with major mailbox provider requirements (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook), and safeguard deliverability performance for all users on the platform.
